The Tooele Valley Railroad Engine 11 is 111. Please join us for a birthday celebration on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. This FREE event will have train rides for kids, photos, museum exhibits, goody bags (while supplies last), and more!
This was so much fun! We hope we can do it again next year!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success! We also want to thank our visitors for following the rules to make the event as safe as possible.
Due to the surge of COVID cases, we have decided to cancel Winter in the Park. We will still be putting up lights around the house, pavillions, and on Engine 11. Come by and see them after December 1st.
Bonnie the Brine Shrimp is our new kid’s character at the museum. She is a smart, spunky brine shrimp. Named after the Lake Bonneville, she has a lot to teach people about the Great Salt Lake.
We have hundreds of pictures of local people and places. Some of them have yet to be identified. The Rotary Club members helped us put names to faces to make it easier to use the photos for research and exhibits.
We also have a local history reference collection at the museum where we store information we find on a variety of local history topics. The Rotary Club also helped us clip articles to add to our reference files.
